Tumult at Montague

Dr John Lack will speak to us about the attack on the Dunlop Rubber Mill on 19 September 1917.

John is an Associate Professor and Principal Fellow in the School of History and Philosophical Studies at the University of Melbourne. Formerly Victorian section editor of the Australian Dictionary of Biography (to which he has contributed more than 40 entries), John is a Fellow of the RHSV and a former editor of the Victorian Historical Journal. He has published histories of Australian immigration, of the Footscray Football Club, of his father’s 2/29th Battalion AIF, and A History of Footscray.
