    Served Boer War (1898-1902) as 38213, Trooper, 2 Scottish Light Horse, on enlisting shown as previously serving with the Cape Medical Staff Corps from 10 May, 1900 discharged on expiry of time 29 April.1901. Noted on enlisting 21 December, 1915 as having spent three months with the A.I.F. some 12 months earlier before being released for family reasons
