Correctly Aubrey JOOLEN and a brother of Henry John VAL JOOLEN. Their parents John Henry (sometimes Henry John) and Louisa Elizabeth VAN JOOLEN, nee MYERS). Several of the family dropped the VAN, including a younger brother Stan JOOLEN who played a few games with Port around 1923 and was a great mate of Roy Cazaly’s. Aubrey served about six weeks at Seymour (9th Reinforcements, 21st Field Artillery) before being discharged as medically unfit (curvature of the spine)
