    Earlier served during the Boer War as 383, Trooper, 5 South Australian Imperial Bushmen He was listed as born in Port Melbourne (Victorian BDM has Emerald Hill), but apparently with no other connection to the suburb. Noted as with six children when he enlisted for WW1. Skinn died on 18 August, 1952 and was buried in the A.I.F. Cemetery, West Terrace, Adelaide.
