At our May meeting we’ll hear from Andrew Calleja, co-coach of the inaugural Port Melbourne Football Club Women’s Team.

Port Melbourne Football Club was founded in 1874 and in 2018 will field its first women’s team in the South Eastern Women’s Football League with the aim of obtaining a VFL license in the near future.

Andrew will go over the recent history of women’s football and what it will mean for the Port Melbourne Football Club and the community in the future.

PMH&PS meet on the fourth Monday of each month, bar December, in the Council Chamber at Port Melbourne Town Hall in Bay Street.
