Edward was married to Ellen Ratcliffe in 1917. They had two children:
Mary Catherine born 25 March 1917 who married John Mathers McKenzie of Lock on 14th September 1946
Julia Annie born 9th August 1920 in Port Melbourne. She married Joseph Francis Carey in South Melbourne 16 August 1941. They had one child, Patrick John born in 1943 who married Dawn Beverley Alexander 27 April 1962.
Sheila Carey (not her 'real' name) lives now in a shop front called Grandma's Place between Farrell and Union Streets. She is in her 80s and still goes to St Joseph's. (Jim Power)
