He married Helen Margaret Nugent in 1928. Clarence was an optical mechanic. They had three children:
Patricia Helen born 1929
Shirley Dorothy born 7 April 1930 and baptised at Holy Trinity 24th July 1932
Kenneth Charles born 15 September 1931 and baptised at Holy Trinity on the same day as his sister
The only further information is that the elder daughter became a secretary
