William and his wife Margaret lived only for one year here, shortly after their son, George (136 Farrell Street Property), was married. They had previously lived somewhere else in Port Melbourne.

Irving, George John
136 Farrell Street 1919-1935 Property

Only recorded son of William and Margaret (see 157 Farrell St Property) born in Sandridge in 1875. In 1909 he married Lillian Rose Vick, born in Port Melbourne in 1886, some of her relatives also lived in this street precinct.

George John was a seaman although in 1933 Sands and McDougall lists him as painter. They were married at Holy Trinity in Bay Street. By the time they moved into 136 Farrell They had two children: George Temple born in 1909.

George married Janet Frances Warren at Holy Trinity on 14 January 1914. They had at least one child, Barbara Anne Irving, born 28th December 1933. George was listed as a commercial traveller and also in 1934 as a manufacturers' agent.

Marjorie Jean born in 1914. Marjorie also married at Holy Trinity on 10 January 1935, to Victor Vernon, born in Carlton in 1913. They had a daughter Mavis Jean born 29th March 1936. Victor was a stationer.

Lillian Rose died in 1936 and George John in 1935.
