William married Ellen Madigan in 1885 so it seems likely that they lived in this house from the time of their marriage.
They had six children all baptised at St Joseph's:

William born 17th May 1887 baptised 3 July 1887
Charles Henry born 19th September 1888, baptised 10th November 1888
George Frederick born 19th June 1891 baptised 2nd August 1891
Alice born 10th June 1892 baptised 21 August 1892
Norah born 26th May 1895 baptised 9th July 1895.
William was described simply as labourer. He was the first owner of the house when it was built and it remained in the ownership of his family at least until 1930.
