Peter Stuart was, PMH&PS member, Glen Stuart's grandfather. He was a hairdresser and had his business in premises behind the Clare Castle Hotel on the Graham Street/ Ross Street corner.

He was killed in 1914 in a street accident, alighting from a tram in Melbourne.

Peter Stuart was married to Catherine Hannah Glen who was born on 13th January 1878 and died on 27th May 1959.

Grandmother of PMH&PS member Glen Stuart. After her husband died she purchased the house at the corner of Williamstown Road and Bridge Street. From there she and Glen's father, William Raeburn Stuart, operated the Gladesdale Dairy. William Raeburn had worked for Woodruff's Dairy prior to joining his mother in their own business. In 1954, William Raeburn sold the business to Woodruffs and again worked for them, this time as a working director.

Catherine continued to live at 273 Bridge St until her death.

William married Jane Isabel Chrimes who had been born in Port Melbourne in 1873, one of the daughters of Henry Chrimes Biography. Isabel died in Ormond in 1966.

William and Jane had five children:

Catherine Isabella born in Port Melbourne 16th Novemebr 1894

Violet May born 11 March 1897 in Port Melbourne

Myrtle born 1899 in Port Melbourne and died in Kew 1977

William Henry born 19th October 1904 in Port Melbourne

Estella Jean born 1914 and married to Victor James Kent also born in 1914 (see 152 Farrell Street, Victor Kent)

In Sands and McDougal Directory William is described as an engine driver but at the time of his daughter's marriage in 1959 his occupation was given as storeman.
