Parents: Rowland and Mrs Martha BRIDE (step-mother), born Collingwood. He enlisted shown as a switchboard operator at 22 Liardet Street. His step-mother returned the circular from Liardet Street nominating Neerim North as the district her late son was mainly associated with. The family structure is a little unclear – the only Death Notice sighted has Martha as his step-mother and he as a loving brother of Leo, Mary and Bob.
