Harry was sick after embarkation and had to leave the Orontes in Wellington, NZ. He returned to Australia and finally set sail for the front onboard the Boonah from Adelaide on 22 October 1918 as part of the 14th (Vic) Reinforcments only for the ship to be recalled around 21 December 1918.
