Trooper, 8 Light Horse, died of wounds 11 August, 1916, age 25, commemorated Embarkation Pier Cemetery, Gallipoli.

Parents: Alfred B and Mary DEAN born Port Melbourne, educated Tungamah SS. Enlisted with mother in West Brunswick, circular returned by his father from the same address shows a brother, 2166 William Walter DEAN, Military Medal.
