    “Private A. J. Babbington Hamilton, (reported dangerously ill) enlisted early
    and held the rank of sergeant in the 3rd Battalion, New South Wales. He was connected with the Education Department, and has been in charge of several schools in Northern Victoria, the last one being Eskdale He is the eldest son of Mrs. N. T. Hamilton, Port Melbourne”.
