E J Moloney, a labourer of 100 Ross Street is among three Port men who enlisted at Port Melbourne Town Hall in January 1917.

E Moloney was among a number of men given a send-off at the Temperance Hall by the Blue Birds Football Club on Monday 9 April, 1917.
