“Private Charles Pritchard, who is among the wounded, is a son of Mrs. Hoendrope, of Nott-street, Port Melbourne, and tie late Mr. H. Pritchard, foreman pattern maker, for many years at the Austral Otis, South Melbourne. Private Pritchard was prominent in football circles as an umpire”.

(His mother re-married as Mrs Peter Francis HOENDEROP in 1905, Pritchard’s attestation showed his late father’s name)
