“Some few weeks ago it was announced that Driver A. D. Severs, of Talbot, was shortly to arrive, having been invalided home. Since then his friends have been wondering why he had not arrived here, and are now somewhat anxious owing to the fact that in Monday’s Melbourne papers inquiries were made as to his next of kin. Mrs Rees, with whom Driver Severs stayed prior to his enlisting, has communicated with the Defence Department In the matter”.
