Father: Percy, born Port Melbourne? Shone enlisted at Newcastle, NSW as a 29-year-old labourer. His birthplace is somewhat confusing – the Attestation shows Port Melbourne, but in the Parish of Carlton. Posted Missing 20 July, 1916, pronounced killed in action July, 1916. No known grave, no circular returned to help clarify birthplace or education.
