On Active Service. TILLEY – Killed in action somewhere in France, on the 28th March, 1918, No. 3265, Pte. W H. Tilley, 23rd Battalion, after 2 yrs. and 4 months active service; beloved eldest son of George and Marion Tilley, 52 Marshall-street, Ivanhoe, loving brother of Ada, Rhoderick (on active service) and George. ‘Aged 25 years 7 months. Died for King and Country.
