Shown in a Death Notice for Hugh LEWIS (included) as George – the pair were brothers, Hugh WATT enlisted under LEWIS after his widowed mother re-married in 1898 as Mrs William LEWIS. John’s second given name in birth records was HARTEHORNE, his mother’s maiden name before she first married as WATT

Hi Brian Are you related to the Watts. John George Watt was my Maternal Grandfather. John’s second name is was misspelt by whoever wrote in the birth records. It should be Harteshorn
