“He was in the 46th Batty. I knew Berry by sight; he came from Victoria. The Battery was on Observation Ridge, near Ypres, August and September. I saw Berry on the Battery; a shell dropped on his dugout, killing two and wounded one. Berry was one of the two killed. He was not wounded anywhere; he must have been killed by concussion. I saw his grave in a Cemetery behind Dickybusch, near the Casualty Clearing Station. A good cross was put up on his grave with his name, number, etc”. (Gunner F. A.
