    A brother, Arthur Stanley BROOK, Private, 60 Infantry, killed in action 19 July, 1916, France, aged 26, commemorated VC Corner Australian Cemetery, France. He enlisted with his wife shown in Carlton, but a Death Notice places her as then at 75 St. Vincent Street, South Melbourne, two daughters, Irene and Lavinia, circular returned from Preston after press notices seeking his wife’s whereabouts were placed in January, 1921. Brook was reported Missing 19 July, 1916, confirmed killed at that date, August, 1917.
