My parents bought a beautiful old house in Port Melbourne about 1939, I was only 4 years old, and this was our family home until the old late 70’s.
The address was 135 Spring Street, just behind the Town Hall and opposite the Bowling Green.
This lovely old home is still there and has been beautifully restored.
My father enlisted in the army in the 2nd world war and during some of the years after the war my parents hosted his reunions in the newer section of the Town Hall.
I am sending this after I heard an interview today on the ABC about my lovely Port Melbourne.

Thanks for dropping by Jean. We are pleased that Janet’s interview on the ABC brought back some memories of Port.
